Cosmetic Freeze Dryer: Cut Active Ingredient Loss & Uses
Why can freeze-dried cosmetics retain some heat-sensitive active ingredients and gradually re-dissolve after coming into contact with essence? This is related to the freeze-drying machine. By removing moisture under low-temperature and vacuum conditions, the freeze-drying machine can reduce the impact of high-temperature processing on some components and form a porous structure that is conducive to re-dissolution.
How much impact does the freeze-drying machine technology have on the stability of cosmetic active ingredients? A study published in "Cryo Letters" compared cosmetics emulsions containing vitamin C. After an accelerated stability test at 48°C for 28 days, the retention rate of vitamin C in the freeze-dried emulsion was 90.1%, while that of the non-freezed oil-water emulsion was only 28.3%. The study shows that the freeze-drying machine is beneficial for improving the stability of vitamin C in this formula.
Cosmetic freeze-drying usually uses collagen, peptides, etc. as raw materials, goes through pre-treatment and then enters the freeze-drying machine for freeze-drying, and finally undergoes inspection and moisture-proof packaging.
We provide laboratory, pilot and production-type freeze-drying machines. The CQ-HFD series freeze-drying machine equipment has a temperature range of -55°C to +80°C, and can be customized with a lower temperature range according to process requirements. The CQ-HFD series has functions such as process formula management, automatic operation and data recording, which is convenient for production process control and batch traceability. Freeze-drying machines can also be applied to freeze-dried cosmetic microspheres, freeze-dried masks, freeze-dried powder compacts, freeze-dried eye patches, etc.
