How to increase the production capacity of the pet food freeze-drying machine?
For the same 50㎡ plate area pet food freeze-drying machine, why might the actual daily output be different? For enterprises processing freeze-dried chicken breasts and beef chunks, the capacity is not solely determined by how many kilograms of meat can be loaded in each batch; what's more important is how quickly these moisture can be removed.
Take chicken breasts as an example. Suppose 100kg of fresh meat has a moisture content of 75%, and it is planned to dry it to 5%. According to the law of mass conservation of moisture, approximately 26.3kg of finished product can be obtained, and about 73.7kg of moisture needs to be removed. Most of this moisture has to undergo ice crystal sublimation and then be captured by the cold trap. If the plate layer heating of the freeze-drying machine is insufficient, the sublimation speed will be limited; if the continuous water-capturing capacity of the cold trap cannot keep up with the speed of water vapor generation, the pressure control inside the chamber may also be affected.
The thickness of the meat blocks is also worth paying attention to. Thicker chicken blocks usually require a longer drying time. In actual production, factors such as pre-freezing, secondary drying, loading and unloading, and equipment preparation also need to be considered. When pet food enterprises use the freeze-drying machine to calculate production capacity, they should not only consider the single batch loading volume, but also pay attention to the complete production cycle of the freeze-drying machine and the qualified product output per unit time.
